All of our Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians are fully qualified members of the team who in turn have studied at colleges or universities to gain their professional qualifications. The Optometrist will perform a comprehensive and thorough eye examination at your appointment.   During the eye test they will check for Diabetes, Glaucoma and other potential sight threatening conditions.   The eye examination lasts around 20-30 minutes.   After completion of the test they advise of any prescription or changes in your vision and hand you over to the Dispensing Optician. The Dispensing Optician will interpret the prescription and advise you of the frames to suit your facial shape and of the spectacle lenses to ensure you have the most comfortable and clearest vision.   They will also advise you on the ranges of frames we carry and will tailor a package to suit your budget. To ensure we give you, our customer, the best possible service - we employ a specially trained team of call center operators who will call and confirm your appointment upon receiving your next eye test reminder.   They will arrange, cancel or re-schedule an appointment to suit a time at your convenience.   Our branches offer a late night clinic and appointments on Saturdays to provide you with an available appointment to fit around your busy life style.       Glazing Lab -             At Neil MacArthur Opticians we employ a fully trained technician who will make up your glasses to the prescription as specified by the Optometrist.   Here they are fully checked for quality and defects before they are dispatched via our overnight courier to reach your branch.
